Philosophy and rationale of the curriculum area of art is introduced in this one day, hands-on workshop. Materials that aid development of art concepts, and skills in two-dimensional art activities (easel or table), three-dimensional art activities (clay), art appreciation, and art history are demonstrated and practiced by the participants. Art curriculum is one of ten workshops scheduled during the practicum/student teaching year.

Materials aiding in the development of music concepts and skills; singing skills, instrumental skills, music appreciation and history are demonstrated and practiced by the participants. Music curriculum is one of ten workshops scheduled during the practicum/student teaching year.
Philosophy and rationale of the curriculum area of movement is introduced as a component of music. Montessori movement as line activities occur during practical life.
